These Smith River Trips not only take you through some of the most awe-inspiring scenery in Montana but will also provide you with fantastic fishing for large rainbow and brown trout. All Smith River Trips are conducted in cooperation with, and under Lewis and Clark National Forest Service Special Permit Holder – Outfitter Mike Geary, Lewis and Clark Expeditions.
South Fork Flathead River Trips:
7 days / 6 nights – Fully Guided 2×1 (2 anglers per 1 guide): $5,950 per person
We Conduct these trips in July and August. These spectacular trips are in the heart of the Bob Marshall Wilderness and require 1 long day and 1 short day of horseback travel to get to the river where we begin our 50-mile float-trip adventure. You will not find better cutthroat trout fishing anywhere in the U.S., period! The South Fork is also one of the very few places in the lower 48 where you can legally fish for huge Bull Trout! There are a very limited number of launch dates to choose from. The quoted price is based upon a 4 person occupancy. Parties of 6 – 8 may be eligible for discounts. We also provide a pack-in service for wade fishermen and those with their own boat and gear wishing for a “do-it-yourself” unguided experience. Please call for availability and details!
South Fork Flathead Trips are conducted under National Forest Service Permit #0596-0082.
We try to accommodate “last minute” trips, but to avoid disappointment, you should make your reservations at least 30-60 days prior to your trip, therefore, ensuring the dates and guides will be available. Unless other arrangements are made, a deposit of 50% of your trip price is required upon booking (only 25% is required if a reservation is made more than one year in advance, leaving the remaining 25% due six months prior to your trip). The remaining balance is due upon your arrival. In addition, your deposit is non-refundable but in the event you must cancel your trip, you may transfer your deposit to another trip, date, or party if redeemed within two years.
